GW Basketball To Tip Off With Colonial Invasion

WASHINGTON, DC -- George Washington University's version of Midnight Madness, called Colonial Invasion, will be held at Smith Center tonight, Thursday, October 28. Doors open at 9:00 p.m. and the event is open to students, faculty, staff and the general public.
Thursday's activities feature contests, give-aways, raffles to win a Vespa scooter and a big screen television as well as lots of Colonials Spirit. The new student fan organization, The Colonial Army, will be in attendance along with the cheerleaders, mascots and the First Ladies dance team. The arena's new state-of-the-art scoreboard system will also be unveiled.
Both men's and women's teams, as well as head coaches Karl Hobbs and Joe McKeown, will be introduced.
The GW men's team will open their season with a preseason exhibition game Wednesday, Nov. 10, against Randolph-Macon at 8:00 p.m. following the GW women's team's preseason exhibition game against UMMC-Ekaterinburg at 6:00 p.m. Both exhibition games will take place at Smith Center.
