Baseball Loses To Dayton 7-4

Washington, DC (April 16) - The George Washington baseball team lost to the University of Dayton 7-4 at Barcroft Park in Arlington, VA. The loss drops the Colonials' record to 8-4 in the Atlantic 10 Conference and to 26-17 overall.
Dayton's Kris Bracken (Granger, IN/Penn) shut-down the Colonial offense and threw his second complete game of the season. Bracken allowed only three earned-runs on six hits, and struck-out four Colonial batters to improve his record to 2-1 on the season.
The Flyers' offense was led by Brooks Vogel (Coldwater, OH/Coldwater) and Shawn Bolinger (Kokomo, IN/Kokomo) Vogel and Bolinger each went 3-5 with two RBI's on the day.
For the Colonials, sophomore Chris Worth (North Arlington, NJ/North Arlington) took the loss on the mound. Worth surrendered three first inning runs, but settled down to limit the Flyer offense to only two more runs. The loss drops Worth's record to 4-6 on the season.
The Colonials return to action when they travel crosstown Tuesday to take on the Georgetown Hoyas at 3:00 p.m.
