Baseball Defeats the Mount 10-4

Washington, DC (March 28) - The George Washington baseball team defeated Mt. St. Mary's 10-4 in Emmitsburg, MD. The Colonials used a 15-hit attack to earn its 15th consecutive victory over the Mount.
Seniors Matt Walker (Gibsonia, PA/U. of South Carolina) and Ryan Dacey (Annapolis, MD/Annapolis) led the way for the Colonials offensively. Walker collected four hits on the day and added three RBI's, while Dacey had three hits and three RBI's.
Freshman Dennis Gramolini (Reading, MA/Reading Memorial) picked-up his first collegiate victory pitching in relief of junior Ron Christie (Lincroft, NJ/Middletown South), who exited the game in fourth inning after a rain delay. Gramolini pitched three innings, allowing two runs and striking out three Mount batters.
Freshman Glen Skutnik (Lorton, VA/Hayfield) pitched the final three innings to pick-up his first save of the season. Skutnik surrendered one run and struck out one batter in the effort.
The Colonials return to the diamond tomorrow when they travel to Towson to take on the Tigers at 3:00 p.m.
