Volleyball Derails Duquesne, 3-0

Again it was senior Gabriela Mojska leading the Colonials with a match-high 20 kills while hitting .576. The senior also contributed six block assists, a block solo and four digs.
Juniors Renee Arnold and Tracee Brown were nearly flawless as each committed just one attack error as they hit .571 and .444, respectively.
GW setter Jill Levey added a match-high 18 digs and 44 assists to record her second straight double-double and her 11th double-double this season.
Following a pre-match ceremony in which all of the GW players' parents were introduced and brought onto the court, the Colonials made their parents proud by taking game one of the match by hitting .449 collectively with 25 kills and just three errors in 49 attacks.
As a team, GW hit .366 with 62 kills and 14 errors in 131 attempts compared to .089 for Duquesne (35-23-144). It was the second straight match GW hit better than .333 and held its opponent under a .100 team hitting percentage.
Duquesne's Heather Buckman and Mindy Buhrow led the Dukes with 10 and nine kills, respectively, while Buhrow added a team-high 13 digs.
The Dukes dropped to 9-14, 3-8 in the A-10.
GW (12-7, 7-4 A-10) next travels to Philadelphia to play at La Salle Friday and at Temple on Saturday.
