Volleyball Announces Fall 2026 Competition Slate

GW volleyball announced its 2026 fall schedule on Thursday, with all home games in the Charles E. Smith Center free of charge.

Headlined by eight returners, including All-Conference setter Abby Markworth, and nine newcomers consisting of five first-years and four transfer students, George Washington will showcase its 2026 roster in two exhibitions at American (Aug. 12) and by welcoming Maryland to the Smith Center on Aug. 20.

Opening regular season play on the road across Aug. 28-29, the Revolutionaries will face Furman, Georgia and UNF in Athens, Ga. for opening weekend. GW will then head on a road trip to Raleigh, N.C. to take on the NC State Wolfpack in addition to Charlotte and Wofford on Sept. 4-6.

For the annual Battle of the Beltway, GW will head to Loyola Maryland, UMBC and Morgan State for the third weekend of action (Sept. 11-13), before playing Virginia in a midweek matchup in Charlottesville, Va. on Sept. 15.

Closing out non-conference play in the District, the Revolutionaries will visit Georgetown on Sept. 18, before Howard visits the Smith Center on Sept. 19.

In the Atlantic 10, GW begins conference play at home with a weekend series vs. Saint Louis on Sept. 25 and 26. George Washington also welcomes Davidson (Oct. 10-11), Fordham (Oct. 23-24), George Mason (Oct. 28) and Loyola Chicago (Nov. 13-14) to the District for conference clashes.

On the road in conference action, the Revolutionaries will be tested by VCU (Oct. 2-3), George Mason (Oct. 7), Dayton (Oct. 16-17), Rhode Island (Oct. 31 and Nov. 1) and Duquesne (Nov. 6-7).

At the conclusion of the regular season, the top six teams in the league will advance to the A-10 Championship, contested from Nov. 20-22.
