The George Washington volleyball team delivered a dominant performance against VCU on Saturday, sweeping the Rams in three sets (25-23, 25-12, 25-11).

GW opened the match with a tightly contested first set, edging VCU, 25-23, behind 14 kills, 12 digs and two blocks. The Revolutionaries carried that momentum into the second set, posting another 14 kills while limiting VCU in a 25-12 finish. GW closed out the match in commanding fashion, hitting 14 kills on 21 attempts in the third set, with a .667 hitting percentage to secure the 25-11 victory.

The sweep came one day after VCU defeated George Washington in three sets. In today's meeting, Alexis Rodriguez led the Revolutionaries with 13 kills and just three errors for a .455 hitting percentage. She also paced GW defensively with 11 digs.

UP NEXT: The Buff and Blue will be on the road for a midweek match against George Mason before hosting Davidson for dual matches the upcoming weekend.
