Revolutionaries Drop Midweek Match at George Mason
10/7/2026 8:33:00 PM | Women's Volleyball
The George Washington volleyball team fell to George Mason University in three sets during a midweek road match. The results went in favor of the Patriots, 23-25, 18-25, and 19-25.
The Buff and Blue struggled to find their momentum in tonight's outing against the Patriots. With 106 attack attempts, the team fought hard at the net but were only able to land 28 kills. Despite best efforts to stay within reach, George Washington was unable to overcome the Patriots and dropped the midweek contest.
Riley Samuel led the Revolutionaries offensively, recording nine kills while posting a .438 hitting percentage. From the service line, Nicanora Clarke and Alexis Rodgriquez each recorded two aces. At the net, Simone Assasie and Marin Harvey contributed three block assists apiece as the Revolutionaries looked to slow down George Mason's attacks.
UP NEXT: The Buff and Blue will return home for two matches against Davidson in the Charles E. Smith Center. The first match will be Saturday, Oct. 10, at 3 p.m., followed by a second match on Sunday, Oct. 11, at 1 p.m. Both matches will be broadcast on ESPN+
