Dzina Milovanovic (pronounced Gina) joined the George Washington women's tennis team as an assistant coach at the start of the 2020-21 season.
In the spring of 2021, Milovanovic helped lead the team to an Atlantic 10 Tournament semifinals apperance after riding a six-match win streak to close out the regular season. Three Colonials then took home five A-10 All-Conference awards. Stella Wiesemann was named Most Outstanding Rookie of the Year, the first rookie to do so since 2000.
A native of Belgrade, Serbia, Milovanovic comes to GW after graduating from Pepperdine University in the Fall of 2019, where she ranked as high as No. 44 in the Oracle/ITA singles rankings and No. 39 in doubles alongside teammate Jessica Failla. Milovanovic had a decorated career at Pepperdine and was a member of the squad that advanced to the NCAA Team Championship quarterfinals in 2016, 2017 and 2019. She also reached the quarterfinal of the USTA/ITA Southwest Regional Championship in 2016 and semifinal in 2017. In 2018, she also helped her squad to the finals of the ITA National Team Indoor Championships.
In addition to her athletic accolades at Pepperdine, Milovanovic also excelled off the court and was four-time Pepperdine Scholar-Athlete.
