Lindqvist Leads Tennis in Loss to Georgetown

WASHINGTON – First-year Alexandra Lindqvist tallied a 7-5, 6-0 win in fourth singles to lead GW in a 6-1 loss to Georgetown on Wednesday. GW falls to 3-6 on the season.
Lindqvist tallied one of two wins for GW on the day as the duo of Madison Lee and Karen Verduzco also won in first doubles. The pair finished with a 6-4 win over the Hoyas' top doubles team, moving Lee/Verduzco to a team-best 6-3 on the year.
Lindqvist's win is her fourth of the year in singles, including three in the fourth flight and one in the fifth. She now ties the team lead with junior Solange Skeene for the most singles wins in 2026.
GW now turns its attention to Saint Joseph's, hosting the Hawks for an A-10 Conference clash on Friday at 11:00 a.m.
