- Assistant Coach
Kasey Mock joined the GW lacrosse staff as an assistant coach in January 2015.
A member of the United States National Women's Lacrosse Team for the 2014-15 season, Mock comes to GW following a four-year career at Syracuse where she helped the Orange to a 2013 Big East championship. After moving to the Atlantic Coast Conference prior to her final season, Mock guided Syracuse to the 2014 ACC title game. Mock's squad advanced to three NCAA Final Fours and two National Championship games during her career.
"Kasey had tremendous success at Syracuse both academically and athletically," said head coach Tracy Coyne. "She brings with her the knowledge of what it means to compete for a national championship, and as a member of the U.S. National Team she understands what it means to play at the highest level. What an asset these experiences will be to our program."
A standout on defense, Mock was named to the distinguished Tewaaraton Award Watch List prior to the 2014 season. During her senior campaign she earned a spot on the ACC All-Conference Second Team, the IWLCA All-Northeast Region First Team and the IWLCA All-America Second Team. She was a four-time All-Academic selection, earning Big East honors from 2011-13 and ACC accolades in 2014.
Mock also spent two years as the head coach of the Aftershock Lacrosse Program where she coached middle school-aged girls for one season and rising high school seniors for another year.
Mock, who received the Chancellor's Award for Public Engagement and Scholarship, graduated from Syracuse in December 2014 with a bachelor's degree in inclusive elementary and special education.
