Her coaching and skill development helped GW's Nya Robertson earn the 2023 A-10 Sixth Women of the Year, while also assisting with team camps and elite camps during the offseason. Baker oversaw all team defense and schemes, while also executing scouting reports and analyzing game film.
Before arriving in D.C., Baker spent three seasons with Georgia State as an assistant and was elevated to the program’s Recruiting Coordinator in her final year. Baker’s guidance helped four players earn all-conference selections while also developing the skills of the 2019 ASUN Freshman of the Year.
Prior to working at Georgia State, Baker also worked as an assistant at Kennesaw State from 2015-19, coaching three all-conference selections, two ASUN Freshman of the Year Award winners and three all-academic awardees as well. Baker got her collegiate coaching career started in 2012 as a Video Coordinator and Director of Basketball Services at Auburn. After two seasons, she was quickly elevated to an assistant coach role from 2014-16.
Baker was a decorated player, graduating from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2006. After a standout collegiate career, which included the SEC Defensive Player of the Year Award and a First-Team All-SEC selection, Baker was the 12th overall selection in the 2006 WNBA Draft by the New York Liberty. Her professional career spanned four years in the WNBA, and she played for multiple professional teams overseas as well.
