Friedlander is one of the most accurate drivers in the country. He ranked tenth in the nation in 2001-02, hitting the fairway with 80% of his drives. He has been a steady presence in the middle of the lineup, at the end of the fall season he[apos]s tied for 10th in school history in rounds started with 63. He is also a leader off the course and was named co-captain for the 2002-03 season by Coach Allen. Friedlander is Treasurer of the GW Student Athlete Advisory Council and is President of the Atlantic 10 Conference SAAC.
Friedlander won the 1999 Western Maryland Invitational with a 70 and was named Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week in April of 2000. However, it was during his sophomore year that Brad really started to shine.
Friedlander became a consistent starter in GW[apos]s lineup, playing in 25 rounds. He finished 21st at the Rehoboth Beach Invitational with rounds of 79-78 and 14th at the Atlantic 10 Championship with three straight 74s for a 222 total. As a junior, Friedlander finished 23rd at the 2002 Rehoboth Beach Spring Invitational with a 155 total. In the fall of 2002 Brad posted a stead 77-76-77 at the JMU Inviational and placed 16th at the 2002 Rehoboth Beach Fall Invitational with a 153 total.
Friedlander is a Finance Major and a major sports fan. He is a season ticket holder for the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens and, as goalie, led his intramural floor hockey team (along with teammate and roommate Reid Rosenthal) to the championship in 2001.
