Professional golfer Jhared Hack has joined GW golf’s coaching staff as a volunteer assistant in February of 2019.
Hack, a native of Homestead, Florida, turned pro as an 18-year old in 2009 after a semester at the University of Central Florida, and has spent the last three years playing on the Web.com Tour. He also played two years on the PGA Tour Latin America and a year on the PGA Tour Canada.
“We are extremely excited to have Jhared join our program as the volunteer assistant,” Scheinost said. “He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge having spent more than 10 years as a professional around the world. The most exciting part for us and our program is Jhared’s short-game ability as the fifth-ranked player in the world in scrambling in 2016. We look forward to him sharing his knowledge with our team.”
Before turning professional, Hack had a decorated amateur career. He won the 2006 Western Junior, one of the top junior tournaments in the United States, and the 2007 Western Amateur, defeating the likes of Dustin Johnson and Rickie Fowler in match play.
