A four-year starter for the Colonials from 2012-16, McDonald helped lead GW to a school-record 28 wins last season, culminating with the 2016 NIT Championship where he was named to the All-Tournament Team. He ranks sixth in school history with 447 assists and his 133 games played -- all of them starts -- are second-most in school history behind Kevin Larsen's 136.
McDonald, who earned his degree in Organizational Sciences from GW in May '16, is one of the top rebounding point guards in school history in addition to ranking sixth in assists. He averaged 4.9 boards per game in his career, including 5.8 as a junior, and also contributed 8.7 points per game in his four seasons.
In his role as Director of Player Development, he assists in all facets of the program including mentoring GW's point guards, cutting film and scouting.
