Softball Celebrates Senior Class; Hosts Rhode Island for Significant Conference Games
4/23/2026 2:44:00 PM | Softball
GW softball is back for the final three home games of the season, as the Revolutionaries welcome Rhode Island to the GW Softball Field for Senior Day Saturday (12:00 p.m. DH) and GW's home finale Sunday (12:00 p.m.). All three games will air on ESPN+.
SENIOR SENDOFF
GW softball will honor its five seniors and graduate students on Senior Day on Saturday. Ashley Corpuz, Emma Fales, Lucy Goodwin, Chloe Greene and Daniella Lew have played a combined 15 seasons for GW, and their athletic and academic accomplishments will be honored in a senior ceremony which will take place after the conclusion of Saturday's doubleheader.
WALKING TO THE TOP
Corpuz has been drawing walks at historic rates, not just this season but throughout her career. Already the GW career walks record holder (144 walks), Corpuz has drawn 40 walks this season, nearing history again as she is just one base on balls from matching her single-season high (41) and two walks from tying the GW single-season record (42), which was set by Amanda Zakeri in 2013.Â
Corpuz currently ranks third in the NCAA in walks per game (1.08), trailing only UCLA's Megan Grant (1.17) and Texas State's Aiyana Coleman (1.15).
