Barbachano Named A-10 Golfer of the Week

WASHINGTON -Â After leading his team to third-place finish at the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge, Manuel Barbachano was named the A-10 Golfer of the Week, as announced on Thursday.
Barbachano posted his best individual score of the year, firing a 7-under 209 to finish in third place individually, two shots off the title. He shot under par in all three rounds at True Blue Golf Club in Pawley's Island, S.C., and tied for the sixth-lowest score to par in program history and the lowest since Jakub Hrinda's 10-under effort in September 2023.
The senior has now tallied three top-10s and a pair of top-three finishes this season, having previously finished third at The Goat in September and sixth at the Monterrey Collegiate Classic in October. His scoring average of 72.6 is more than a shot and a half better than his performance last season (74.2).
He will be back on the course at the A-10 Championship in Orlando, Fla., with first round action beginning on Monday, April 27.
