Gymnastics Notches New Season-High at Penn

PHILADELPHIA- Behind four solid rotations, GW gymnastics saw a new season-best 194.650 at Penn's quad meet on Friday evening. With the performance, the GW Revs finished second behind the hosts (196.000) and ahead of Cornell (192.650) and William & Mary (190.875). As a team, the Buff & Blue also earned a season-high  48.875 on the beam as part of the season-best performance.Â
Individually, Lola Montevago earned the all-around win with a career-high 39.125. The sophomore also earned second in the vault (9.825). On the floor, senior Deana Sheremeta stole the show with a 9.900 to anchor GW on the event.Â

GW now prepares for a two-meet homestand in the Smith Center. The Revolutionaries will welcome New Hampshire and William & Mary to Foggy Bottom next Sunday, Feb. 15 for a 1 p.m. tri-meet. The contest also serves as the head-to-head EAGL meet between the Wildcats and the GW Revs.Â
