ARLINGTON, Va. – The George Washington baseball team picked up its second win of the 2026 season, dominating Saint Peter's, 17-0, at Tucker Field. GW moves to 2-6 on the year, while the Peacocks drop to 0-5.
The GW bats started early, jumping out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Charlie Rogan tallied the game's first RBI, singling up the middle to score Connor Jones. The Revolutionaries pushed their lead to 4-0 in the third, scoring two runs on a double from Charlie Walsh and taking on another via a sacrifice fly from Conlon Walker.
Robbie Lavey recorded his third home run of the season in the bottom of the fourth, a three-run bomb to right-center, while Walker tallied his second RBI of the day later that inning, singling to first base to score Rogan. Tyler Jones capped off the five-run inning by scoring from third base on a wild pitch, giving GW a 9-0 advantage.
The GW Revs pushed its lead to double figures in the fifth, scoring on an RBI groundout to second base. In the sixth, Brodie Freker's three-run home run gave GW a baker's dozen runs on the day, while an RBI single from T. Jones in the seventh led to GW's 14-0 lead.
The Buff & Blue tallied its final three runs of the day via a single from Walsh, an RBI walk by Rogan and a bases-loaded walk from Christian Dewey to cap off a historic day on offense. Seventeen runs is the most the program has posted in a game since an 18-4 win over UMES on March 11, 2025, and the first game of 10 or more runs this season.
Not to be overshadowed by GW's offense, Max Haug was stellar on the mound for GW. The senior tossed five innings, striking out four in his first win of the season. Gavin Miller tossed two innings, while Brad Marks and Drew Oppenheim each pitched one inning of relief in the shutout.
GW looks for the series win tomorrow, hosting Saint Peter's at 1:30 p.m. at Tucker Field.
