ROCK HILL, S.C. – Emi Todoroki punctuated GW softball's 6-5 comeback win on Sunday with a walk-off single against Mount St. Mary's as GW finished the Coach Cooke Memorial Tournament at 3-2. GW earned its third-consecutive win as the team improved to 5-4 overall with one early-season tournament remaining.

A four-run third for The Mount swayed momentum early in favor of the designated visitors as they led 5-2 after three innings. GW was staring at trouble as the 5-2 deficit held into the sixth, but a spark in the bottom of the frame on an Emma Fales RBI single set GW's comeback into motion.

Still down two in the bottom of the seventh, GW loaded the bases with two outs for Isabella Ruby, who watched four-straight balls to cut it to 5-4 on an RBI walk. From there, Todoroki handled the rest, driving the second pitch of her at-bat back up the middle to score two and clinch the two-game weekend sweep over Mount St. Mary's.

GW's offense set season highs with 10 hits and seven RBI. Todoroki, Fales and Reese Ferrel each had two-hit days, while Ruby drew four walks – the most by a GW player so far this season.

Chloe Greene made the start for GW and was replaced in the third by Sophia Torreso, who held Mount St. Mary's scoreless over the next 4.0 IP. Cece Smith replaced Torreso to get the final out of the seventh with a runner in scoring position, striking out the first batter she faced to keep the run off the board.

GW will try to extend its season-long win streak with five games at UCF's Charge on Classic next weekend in Orlando. GW will face Dartmouth, Florida A&M, Wagner and UCF, with its first game at 10 a.m. on Friday against Dartmouth.
