Skeene Leads Tennis in Loss vs. Elon

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Junior Solange Skeene tallied a win in both singles and doubles to lead GW against Elon on Sunday morning. The Buff & Blue fell, 6-1, dropping to 2-3 on the season.
Skeene recorded GW's lone singles win of the day, capturing a 6-4, 4-6, 10-5 victory in the first flight. The victory moves Skeene to 3-2 on the season, with all her matches coming in first singles.
Skeene was also part of GW's lone doubles victory, teaming up with Victoria Sasinka for a 6-1 in flight two. The duo is now 2-3 this season, with all matches played in the second flight.
GW returns home to host Loyola (Md.) on Friday at the Southeast Tennis & Learning Center. Match time is set for 11:00 a.m.
