WASHINGTON - GW golf's Manuel Barbachano is scheduled to take part in the upcoming Genesis Collegiate Showcase on February 16 in Los Angeles for a chance to earn a spot in a PGA TOUR event.

The select event occurs the Monday of the Tour's Genesis Invitational hosted at historic Riviera Country Club. The showcase is an unique opportunity for a collegiate golfer to play their way into a PGA TOUR event while allowing university supporters to compete for a $50,000 donation to their golf program.

First held in 2015, the Collegiate Showcase will be contested for the 13th time in 2025. Former winners of the showcase include current PGA TOUR professionals Will Zalatoris and Sahith Theegala and current World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler.

Barbachano will be one of 18 collegiate participants in the event. Should he win, he will receive an automatic exemption into the 2026 Corales Puntacana Championship on the PGA Tour in April.
