WASHINGTON - The George Washington University swimming & diving programs have announced their 2025-26 schedule. The chase for a fifth-straight dual A-10 Championship season begins on Sept. 27 with an intrasquad meet at the Smith Center, in its 50th year of existence.
"I'm really excited about this season's schedule," said Head Coach Chico Rego. "The focus this season was to increase competition to the highest level possible. We will face some of the best programs in the country multiple times throughout the year. That will help us steer the program in the direction we want to go, rubbing shoulders with the nation's best."
GW hits the ground running with two key meets in October. The Revolutionaries line up against the Hokies from Virginia Tech on Oct. 4 at the Smith Center to begin competition.
On Oct. 17-18, the Revolutionaries will compete in a first-of-its-kind Dual Meet Tournament, hosted by Georgia Tech in Atlanta, in a field that includes Army, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Minnesota and NC State. GW has drawn Georgia as its first-round matchup of the bracket-style, head-to-head competition, and will then face either Auburn or Minnesota in the second round or consolation bracket.
GW returns home on Nov. 1 for a dual meet against Navy, hosted at the Long Bridge Park Aquatics Center in Arlington, Va., before competing in its mid-season invitationals in late November. GW's swimmers and divers will split up for this year's mid-season invites, as the divers will challenge the field at the Navy Diving Invitational in Annapolis, Md., from Nov. 21-23, and the swimmers will take on the Wolfpack Elite Invitational, hosted by NC State in Greensboro, N.C., on Nov. 20-22.
After the mid-season invites, four dual meets will stand between the Revolutionaries and the A-10 Championships, starting with a meet against William & Mary on Dec. 20 at the Smith Center. In the new year, GW travels to Towson, Md., to face the Tigers on Jan. 16, before returning home the next day for Senior Day at the Smith Center on Jan. 17 vs. Georgetown. The final tune-up for the A-10 Championships takes place in State College, Pa., in a dual meet at Penn State.
The 2026 Atlantic 10 Championships, hosted again at the Hampton Aquaplex in Hampton, Va., takes place Feb. 18-21. GW will go for its fifth-consecutive sweep of the conference meet, as the men's team chases its sixth-straight A-10 crown and the women's team looks for its fifth-straight A-10 title.
Following A-10s, swimmers and divers with qualifying times and scores will compete in regional qualifying and national meets. The CSCAA National Invitational Championships take place in Ocala, Fla., on March 12-14. Both the men's and women's NCAA Championships will be held in Atlanta, Ga., with the women's meet taking place from March 18-21, and the men's meet running from March 25-28.
