
Softball Honors Seniors vs. Rhode Island

WASHINGTON - The George Washington University softball team will put its 17-2 home record on the line this weekend when it hosts Rhode Island for the final home series of the year. GW will celebrate Senior Day in a pregame ceremony before Saturday's doubleheader (12:00 p.m.) before closing the weekend with a single game Sunday (12:00 p.m.). Sunday's contest will be aired on ESPN+.Â

GW softball will honor eight members of the 2024-25 team during Saturday's ceremony: seniors Gabby Polsky and Taylor Puig, along with graduate students Lilly Travieso, Allison Heffley, Anna Reed, Carolyn Skotz and Madi Mays, and GW's graduate assistant Maggie Greco. GW Athletics thanks these student-athletes for their dedication and hard work during their time as Revolutionaries.
A-10 STANDINGS UPDATE
GW enters the weekend in a tie for fourth place in the conference at 12-8, tied with Fordham. The Revolutionaries sit 2.5 games behind Saint Louis in first place at 14-5, and three games ahead of George Mason, the first team out of playoff positioning in seventh place at 9-11.Â
Rhode Island occupies eighth place in the A-10 at 4-14. The Rams are 3-7 on the road in the conference, most recently sweeping UMass in a midweek doubleheader, however, they must face the Revolutionaries at the GW Softball Field where the GW Revs are 9-0 in the A-10.Â
