BOAT DEDICATION
As part of this weekend's festivities, GW will be dedicating a boat in honor of former Head Coach and GW Hall of Fame member Paul Wilkins, who served as head coach of men's and women's rowing for 15 years from 1981 through 1996. Wilkins attended George Washington and was a rower and coxswain himself ('76-80) before graduating with a degree in 1981 and serving as an assistant coach for a year prior to assuming the head coaching duties. Wilkins' achievements cannot be easily measured. He was a selfless, team-serving mentor who has touched the lives of more than 2,000 rowers either as a coach or teammate at GW.
The dedication will take place following Saturday's races at approximately 2 p.m. at Thompson Boat Center.
