
Softball Looks to Stay Atop A-10, Visits UMass

WASHINGTON - The George Washington University softball team is heading to Amherst, Mass., this weekend for the second A-10 series of the season. The Revolutionaries and Minutewomen will play a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 12:00 p.m. before playing the series finale Sunday at 12:00 p.m., and all three games this weekend will be streamed on ESPN+.
AROUND THE A-10
The Revolutionaries are one of four teams that started A-10 play at 3-0 last weekend, including Dayton, Saint Joseph's and Fordham. George Mason took two of three games from Rhode Island, while Saint Louis, UMass, Loyola Chicago and St. Bonaventure are still searching for their first conference win.
DEFENSE, DEFENSE, DEFENSE
The Revolutionaries are in the midst of an eight-game error-free streak, which dates back to the first game of the GW Invitational. GW ranks second in the A-10 and 52nd in the country in fielding percentage (.972), averaging less than an error per game to this point.  Â
