Swimming & Diving Concludes Championship Season at CSCAA National Invitational Championship

Men’s team claims sixth in team standings
OCALA, Fla. - The A-10 Champion George Washington University men's and women's swimming & diving teams concluded the 2024-25 season on Saturday on the final day of the CSCAA National Invitational Championship in Ocala, Fla.
GW finished in sixth place in the men's standings with 401 points, and with just two women competing, GW finished in 35th with 58.5 points. The University of Akron won the women's title with 650 points, while Ohio State won the men's title with 843.5 points.
Elliott Irwin was the story of the meet for GW, collecting five medals between relays and individual swims. Irwin impressed with medals on all three nights, and a show-stopping CSCAA NIC Meet Record in the 50-yard butterfly (20.38) on Thursday morning in prelims. The graduate swimmer finished the meet with one gold medal, three silver medals and one bronze medal.
Ganesh Sivaramakrishnan was the other Revolutionary to collect an individual medal, claiming a bronze medal in the 50-yard backstroke (21.74). GW earned one top-three placement in team relays, as Sivaramakrishnan, Preston Lin, Irwin and AJ Wood earned bronze in the 200-yard medley relay (1:26.27).
