Tennis Set for Double Weekend at SETLC

WASHINGTON – The George Washington tennis team is set to host two matches at the Southeast Tennis & Learning Complex this weekend, welcoming Long Beach State on Saturday and Fordham on Sunday. Both matches will begin at 11:00 a.m.
Long Beach State makes a trip to the East Coast for three matches in three days in the DC/Baltimore area. The Sharks arrived in DC on Thursday to battle Georgetown, toppling the Hoyas 4-1. On Friday, they'll travel to Annapolis to face Navy, then conclude the trip with GW on Saturday. Including yesterday's win, the Sharks hold a 5-2 overall record with wins against Seattle U, CSUN, San Diego State, Loyola Marymount and Georgetown. Long Beach State's losses came against Oregon and UC San Diego.
Fellow A-10 foe Fordham arrives in the DMV on Saturday, battling George Mason before taking on GW. The Rams currently hold a 4-2 record with victories against St. Bonaventure, Temple, Illinois State and Davidson. The Rams lead the A-10 with a 2-0 conference record to this point in the season. Fordham's losses this season have come against two ACC schools, a 7-0 loss to Syracuse and a 4-0 defeat to Clemson.
