Delaney DeHaan Earns Weekly EAGL Recognition

Weirton, W. Va.-Â After yet another stellar performance on Sunday at the inaugural Rip Current Awareness Meet, sophomore Delaney DeHaan has earned EAGL Gymnast of the Week recognition. DeHaan is recognized this week alongside Serena Mullin from UNH, who has also earned the title. This is the second weekly honor for DeHaan this season.Â
DeHaan provided another remarkable set of performances at Sunday's meet, setting new career bests on both vault (9.900) and floor (9.925). Both scores were good for first in each event, and with a bars score of 9.800 and a beam score of 9.850, the sophomore claimed the all-around title at 39.475, a new career-high.Â
DeHaan's scores contributed to the GW Revs' season-best 196.550 at the home meet, good for a first-place finish over Cornell, Ursinus and UW-LaCrosse. GW now heads north to face the UNH Wildcats in a dual on Sunday, set for 1:00 p.m. in Durham, N.H.
