WASHINGTON - Breaking the 196 threshold for the first time this season, GW gymnastics earned the spotlight in the rip current awareness meet, honoring late alumna Alex deMoura, and reaching a new season-high team score of 196.550. The Revolutionaries also claimed each individual event title, including the all-around competition, which was won by sophomore Delaney DeHaan with a score of 39.475. The team also earned its highest beam and floor rotation scores of the season.
This marks the fourth-consecutive meet victory for GW and first-year Head Coach Stephanie Worrell. The team also honored deMoura at today's competition with a new leotard design in her honor.
