The 2025 Buff and Blue Fund Challenge was an astounding success with the Athletics Advancement office bringing in over $500,000 from 1,400 donors across the world. This is the second best year in the challenge's history, behind only last year's record setting totals.
"We are incredibly grateful to the 1,400 donors who supported GW's 400 student-athletes and 20 varsity teams through this year's Challenge," said Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics Michael Lipitz. "They are leading by example through their generosity, which inspires others to do the same for their favorite program and fuels the success of GW Athletics."
The 10-day challenge's success was sustained by 1732 Circle member and wrestling alum Rich DiPippo, BA '79. His generous funding was split between the winners across four categories that took place throughout the challenge.
"I'm incredibly grateful for the generosity shown during this year's Buff & Blue Fund Challenge," said DiPippo. "The impact of this historic support will be felt across all our teams — it truly makes a difference. Thank you to everyone who gave. With continued support from our community, there's no limit to what we can accomplish together. Raise High!"
