1/26/2025 5:34:00 PM | Gymnastics
GW gymnastics welcomed Penn, Yale and Fisk to the Charles E. Smith Center Sunday for the annual Lindsey Ferris Invitational and in front of scores of alumnae who returned to GW to honor Ferris, the Revolutionaries won a thriller, giving Head Coach Stephanie Stoicovy Worrell her first career win. Delaney DeHaan and Kendall Whitman brought the win home for the Revolutionaries with exceptional floor routines to secure the meet. DeHaan's career-best 9.900 and Whitman's first-place score of 9.950 gave the Buff & Blue the boost it needed to top second-place Penn by .375 points.
Podium finishes for the GW Revs included Whitman's and DeHaan's places atop the floor exercise, in first- and second place, respectively. Kasey Burke and Deana Sheremeta tied for third in the event.
DeHaan also finished second on vault with a career-high 9.875, while Lola Montevago claimed the title on uneven bars with a career-best 9.900. Sheremeta's 9.875 on balance beam marked a new career-high and topped the event.
