MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The George Washington University men's soccer team fell at No. 4 West Virginia on Friday night, 4-0. HOW IT HAPPENED
24TH MINUTE: A GW turnover in its defensive zone led to a West Virginia cross into the box, which was headed into the back of the net by Sergio Ors Navarro. Felix Ewald earned the assist on his cross into the box.
34TH MINUTE: A buildup of play led to a West Virginia shot from the top of the 18-yard box, which GW goalkeeper Duncan Wegner did well to make an initial save on, but the rebound found the foot of Simon Carlson who scored to make it 2-0.
36TH MINUTE: Not long after the Mountaineers' second goal, West Virginia added another. Carlson sent a leading pass to Marcus Caldera, who slipped behind the GW defense and beat Wegner with a low and hard shot.
