GW men's soccer fell by a final score of 3-1 to Old Dominion in the 2026 home and season opener on Thursday at the GW Soccer Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
9TH MINUTE: Lewis Rourke opened the scoring by heading home a cross from Barrett Saul.
26TH MINUTE: A long pass from goalkeeper Alexander Aguilar headed on by Otu Bisong to the feet of Rourke, who beat GW's final defender before sliding his shot into the net.
58TH MINUTE: Preseason All-SBC selection Jake Lane registered his first of the season after collecting a loose ball and firing it into the goal. Lane finished with a match-high five shots.
88TH MINUTE: A GW set piece was sent into the box by Miguel Sosa, finding the head of Jaden Dubon, who rose up high to guide the ball into ODU's net.
