Atlantic 10 Announces 2024-25 Women’s Basketball Matchups

WASHINGTON – The Atlantic 10 has unveiled the home-and-away matchups for the upcoming 2024-25 women's basketball season, the conference announced on Thursday. The release features 18 conference games for each institution for the second-straight season, moving away from the 16-game format following the conclusion of the 2022-23 campaign.
Included in GW's conference slate are four home-and-away pairings, making up eight of the 18 games. Included for the second-straight year is local rival George Mason who will both host the Revolutionaries in Fairfax, Va., and travel to the Charles E. Smith Center next season. The other three home-and-away pairings feature Fordham, Loyola Chicago and UMass. The Minutewomen make their final trip to the DMV as members of the Atlantic 10 as they prepare to join the Mid-American Conference prior to the 2025-26 academic year.
The Revolutionaries' home-only slate is headlined by a meeting with Duquesne who advanced to the Super 16 of the WNIT last year. GW's remaining home slate include matchups with Saint Joseph's, Davidson, VCU and Dayton.
On the road, GW will face a gauntlet of opponents that includes Richmond, the reigning A-10 regular season and tournament champions. The Buff & Blue will also make a stop at defending WNIT Champion Saint Louis, as well as Rhode Island who made a run to the A-10 Championship semifinals last season. GW's final two road matchups include stops at St. Bonaventure and La Salle.
