Head Coach Ganiyat Adeduntan has announced the addition of Kindyll Dorsey to the women's basketball coaching staff ahead of the 2026-27 season. Dorsey joins the Revolutionaries as an assistant coach.
Dorsey lands in Foggy Bottom after an eight-year stint as the Associate Director of Athletics at Buckingham Browne & Nichols School (BB&N) in Cambridge, Mass. BB&N is a prestigious co-educational school with over 1,000 students, Pre-K through 12th grade. Dorsey helped spearhead BB&N's prestigious athletics programs by coordinating all department activities and programming and serving as the head coach of the varsity girls basketball team.
"I'm excited to join Coach G at GW and be part of such a respected program," Dorsey said. "She's not only a great leader, but also a trusted friend and colleague, and I'm grateful for the chance to work alongside her. I'm also looking forward to collaborating with an outstanding group of assistant coaches and valued support staff who do so much behind the scenes, as we continue to build and grow the program together. Most of all, I'm excited to work with this team, helping to continue developing strong, confident, and high-character young women during their time at GW and beyond, all committed to a shared vision and common goal."
Prior to her work with BB&N, Dorsey spent three seasons as an assistant at Northeastern University, where she crossed paths with Coach G, who was also an assistant with the program at the time. Dorsey helped guide the Huskies to the WBI in her final season, the program's first postseason appearance in nearly 20 years. Northeastern's 16-15 record was also the first winning season the program had enjoyed in five years, a testament to the team's growth under Dorsey's tutelage.
Dorsey joined Northeastern after a one-year stint at Holy Cross. While with the Crusaders, she worked specifically with the program's guards, aiding in their growth and development over the 2014-25 campaign.
Before landing in the college ranks, Dorsey spent two seasons with BB&N as head coach of the girls' varsity program. This first stint with the school was highlighted by a 32-18 overall record, mentoring her student-athletes both athletically and academically. Dorsey also spent seven years as a head coach within the New England Crusaders AAU program from 2007-14, working with some of the elite student-athletes in the New England region.
Dorsey was a four-year letterwinner and captain at Boston College. While there, she helped guide the Eagles to three NCAA Tournament appearances and one Big East Tournament title in 2004. Her playing career also spanned into the professional ranks, joining the Sandyford Meteors in Sandyford, Ireland, for the 2008 season.
Dorsey graduated from BC with a bachelor's degree in liberal arts in 2007.
