WASHINGTON - GW rowing is back in action this weekend as it will square off with multiple Atlantic 10 foes as well as some non-conference opponents at the St. Joe's Invitational. Racing begins at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Overpeck Park in Leonia, N.J.

GW's Varsity 8 and Second Varsity 8 both qualified for the grand finals of the Doc Hosea Invitational last weekend, finishing sixth in both races among a field of numerous NCAA qualifiers from a year ago. GW's 3V8 earned a third place finish in the petite final while the V4 and 2V4 placed fifth in the petite final.

The Buff & Blue will compete in a morning and an afternoon wave on Saturday. The highlight will be the V8, 2V8 and V4 going out in the morning against A-10 rivals Massachusetts and Rhode Island. GW will also compete against boats from Bucknell, Columbia, Marist, Navy and UConn.
