Varsity 8 Wins Two Races at St. Joe's Invitational

LEONIA, N.J. - GW rowing got its first look at a pair of A-10 contenders on Saturday at the St. Joe's Invitational and came out on top in both Varsity 8 races.
The Buff & Blue's top boat outpaced Rhode Island and UMass in the morning session, crossing in 7:33.37, six seconds ahead of URI and 15 seconds faster than UMass. The V8 returned in the afternoon with another victory, this time over Marist and UConn in 7:50.368.
GW's 2V8 and V4 also picked up heat wins in the afternoon over Marist and UConn. Full results from the regatta are below.
