MAGGIE MOVING THE LINE
Graduate infielder Maggie Greco set the tone for the Buff & Blue at the plate last weekend vs. Saint Louis. Greco reached base in nine of her 12 plate appearances for a .750 OBP. She hit .571 (4-7) in official at-bats vs. the Billikens, but reached base another five times via two walks and three hit-by-pitches. ROSE ON THE RISE
Rose Cano, coming off her selection as A-10 Pitcher of the Week, continued to shine both in the circle and in the batter's box in GW's three games vs. SLU. Cano appeared in the circle in all three games in the series, which included two starts and a 1.50 ERA. Cano held batters to a .268 Avg. in 14.0 innings and allowed just three earned runs. The Long Beach, Calif., product also contributed offensively in the series. She hit .400 (4-10) with one RBI and one run scored, which included a 3-4 performance in game one.Â
