
Whitman, Peters, Zois Prep for Fayetteville Regional

WASHINGTON - Three GW gymnastics individual qualifiers - Kendall Whitman, Maya Peters and Sarah Zois - are set to compete in NCAA Regionals on Thursday afternoon. The trio will take part in the afternoon session at Arkansas' Bud Walton Arena with the competition slated to begin at 2 p.m. on ESPN+.

Whitman, competing in the all-around, will rotate with Nebraska, starting on bars followed by beam, floor and vault. Peters, on beam, and Zois, on vault, will compete In their events in rotation with Arizona.

After qualifying on floor each of the last two years, Whitman will compete in the all-around on the national stage for the first time this year after qualifying with a NQS of 39.285. Whitman finished second at the EAGL Championships highlighted by an individual championship on floor. She was also honored as the EAGL Senior Gymnast of the Year.
ZOIS, PETERS MAKE NCAA DEBUTS

Zois qualified on vault via her NQS of 9.875. The junior qualified for NCAAs for the first time in her career and is GW's first event specialist on vault since Deja Chambliss in 2021. This year, Zois was named to three All-EAGL teams, including first team recognition on vault and beam.
Peters qualified in her rookie campaign on beam with an NQS of 9.895. In a dazzling freshman season, Peters was a First Team All-EAGL recipient and tied for second in the event at the EAGL Championships with a 9.900.
