WASHINGTON - The George Washington University softball team laces up this weekend for its final A-10 home series of the year vs. UMass. The Revolutionaries and Minutewomen will face off in a doubleheader on Saturday (12 p.m. & 2 p.m) and a single game on Sunday (12 p.m.), with Sunday's finale streaming on ESPN+.Â
ALUMNI DAY, LITTLE LEAGUE DAY SATURDAY
GW softball hosts both Alumni Day and Little League Day at the GW Softball Field during Saturday's doubleheader.
SENIOR DAY SUNDAYÂ
The Buff & Blue will honor six graduating seniors and graduate students ahead of Sunday's game: Abby Schaub, Alena Ramirez, Alexa Williams, Maggie Greco, Sidney Torres and Taylin Yankovich. The group has played a combined 22 seasons for the Buff & Blue and its members have won both the A-10 regular season and A-10 Championship, also becoming the first team from GW to make it to the NCAA Tournament in 2021.Â
CONFERENCE UPDATE
With just six A-10 games remaining in the regular season, the Revolutionaries sit in a tie for sixth with UMass at 9-11. This weekend's series vs. the Minutewomen is of utmost importance as just the top six teams advance to the A-10 Championship tournament. The 2024 Atlantic 10 Championship will be held from May 8-11, hosted by Fordham in the Bronx, N.Y. For a full look at the up-to-date A-10 standings, visit the standings page.
