Tennis Drops Regular Season Finale to Richmond, 4-1

PHILADELPHIA - GW tennis wrapped up its weekend in Philadelphia, and the regular season, with a 4-1 setback to Richmond on Sunday afternoon.
The Spiders started quickly by earning the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3. GW's top pair of Stella Wiesemann and Gabriela Giraldo did earn a 6-3 victory.
Wiesemann made it a pair of victories to her ledger, and earned GW's lone point with a 6-4, 6-4 triumph at No. 1 singles. Richmond sealed the match with victories at No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6.
GW will now await its seed at the upcoming A-10 Championship, which is scheduled to begin next Wednesday, April 24.
