Emma Nowakowski named A-10 Player of the Week

Nowakowski set three career-highs in home game against Robert Morris
WASHINGTON - Graduate attacker Emma Nowakowski has earned A-10 Player of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.Â
Nowakowski has been consistent in the offensive zone for GW, scoring in three out of five games so far this season. In GW's most recent win against Robert Morris last Saturday, Nowakowski netted a sock trick with a career-high six goals and two assists and also led the team with a career-high eight draw controls, while setting a career-high by firing eight shots on goal.Â
The graduate attacker is the first GW lacrosse student-athlete to earn A-10 Player of the Week honors since Ioanna Mantzouratos picked up the recognition on March 16, 2021.Â
GW is on the road at Old Dominion today and will travel to St. Bonaventure on Friday for its first A-10 matchup of the season at 3 p.m.
