WASHINGTON – Following a stellar sophomore season, Nya Robertson has been named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference Third Team, the league announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Robertson, a 5-7 guard from Fort Worth, Texas, led the Buff & Blue in scoring and ranked fourth in the conference at 15.9 points per game this season. This marks the second straight year Robertson has garnered conference accolades after receiving the Sixth Women of the Year award and being named to the conference's All-Rookie Team after the 2022-23 season. Robertson appeared in 27 games for GW this season, making 22 total starts and playing 30.4 minutes per game which also paced the team.
Prior to the 2023-24 season, Robertson received recognition from the conference when she was named to the Atlantic 10 Preseason All-Conference Second Team. Robertson proceeded to shoot a career-best 36.8% from the floor and 34.7% from the 3-point line, posing as a threat to opposing defenses every time she stepped on the court. Along with her scoring numbers, Robertson also grabbed a career-high 2.8 rebounds per game from the guard position, while also dishing out 39 assists as well. In just two seasons in Foggy Bottom, Robertson has totaled 748 career points, putting her on a fast track to become the program's 35th 1,000-point scorer.
Robertson and the Revolutionaries finished the 2023-24 regular season winners in five of their last eight contests, including three in a row to conclude the year. The Buff & Blue enter the Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Championship as the 10th seed, and will face seventh seed Saint Louis on Thursday at 5:00 p.m. The tournament will be held at the Henrico Sports & Event Center in Henrico, Va.
