WASHINGTON – GW baseball and Head Coach Gregg Ritchie are excited to announce the addition of Susannah Ellis as the program's Director of Baseball Operations. Ellis joins the Buff & Blue after serving in the same role with Saint Louis for the past two seasons.
"Susannah is a dynamic person who brings a natural and authentic manner to this position," said Ritchie. "She's a focused and committed person who is about attention to detail and achieving excellence. We are fortunate to be adding Susannah to the GW baseball staff, and I have no doubt she will have a positive impact on our student-athlete's experience and their success."
Ellis, a Billiken grad, joined their baseball program in January of 2020 as a student manager. Handling the traditional duties of a director of operations, Ellis's role consisted of coordinating team travel, planning team meals, serving as a liaison between the program and the university, managing game charts on Synergy and assisting in offseason development through statistics gathering. Following the 2020 and 2021 seasons, Ellis was elevated to the Director of Baseball Operations, where she has served for the past two seasons.
Between seasons with SLU, Ellis continued to gain experience through Living Sport, a sports study abroad program that gives young adults the chance to work internationally in the sports industry. Ellis worked for the program for two months from November to December in 2023, working in Thailand for the Oceanman World Final Championship. During her time overseas, Ellis was responsible for event execution, customer service and hospitality to guests and visitors.
Ellis completed her degree at Saint Louis in May of 2023, earning a Bachelors in Sport Business. Since graduation, Ellis has worked as an Office Manager with Gold Arrow Camp in California. In a role she also held during the summers of 2021 and 2023, Ellis helped with administrative tasks for the camp, served as a customer service rep and worked with youth from ages 8-11.
