Adams, Lindo Ink Professional Contracts In Europe

WASHINGTON -Â GW men's basketball alumni Brendan Adams and Ricky Lindo Jr. have signed their first professional contracts with a pair of clubs in Europe. Adams has signed with VEF Riga in Latvia while Lindo will begin his career with Kouvot in Finland.
Adams, the 2022-23 A-10 Chris Daniels Most Improved Player, has had a busy summer following his breakout campaign with the Buff & Blue. He began by winning the State Farm 3X3U Championship held in Houston in April before earning a pre-draft workout with the Washington Wizards and signing a Summer League deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He also participated in the TBT Tournament for Ram Nation.
VEF Riga, located in the country's capital, is a 10-time champion of the Latvian League and has won back-to-back Latvian Cups. By virtue of their championship, they will also play in the FIBA Basketball Champions League.
Lindo's deal comes following his own pre-draft workout with his hometown Wizards. The D.C. native will play with Kouvot in the top flight of Finnish Basketball, the Korisliiga. The team is located in the town of Kouvola and has won the league championship four times, most recently in 2015-16.
Kouvot was runner-up in the league in 2018-19 and also participates in the Finnish Cup, which it has won once with four runner-up finishes.
