Boisvert Honored as Top Mid-Major Assistant

Men's basketball assistant recognized by Silver Waves Media
WASHINGTON -Â GW men's basketball assistant coach Zak Boisvert was recognized as one of the top 75 Rising Stars per Silver Waves Media, the organization announced on Tuesday.
Boisvert was lauded as one of the most impactful mid-major assistant coaches in the industry by Silver Waves, which has put out the list annually for the last five years. More than 20 coaches on previous lists have advanced into a head coaching role in that span.
In his first year in Foggy Bottom, Boisvert was primarily responsible for opponent scouting and game planning. He helped lead the Buff & Blue to their most overall wins (16), most A-10 conference wins (10) and first winning league record since 2016-17.
Prior to GW, Boisvert spent 11 seasons as an assistant at Indiana State, Army West Point, Maine, Fairleigh Dickinson and Iona.
