Women's Rowing Looks for First-Ever A-10 Team Championship Friday

WASHINGTON -Â GW women's rowing is set to compete in the Atlantic 10 Championship Friday at Fish Creek in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., on Friday.Â
CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY:Â The Buff & Blue are looking to build off three straight second-place finishes at the event in 2022, 2021 and 2019. Last year, buoyed by a gold-medal performance from the Second Varsity 8, GW finished the day with a new program-record 50 points, surpassing the previous record of 48 points set in 2019. The Buff & Blue also medaled in each of the scoring events for the fifth-straight championship. Current senior Elizabeth Rowland was one of four members of the Buff and Blue to earn All-Conference accolades at last year's championship.Â
Racing in New York begins at 8 a.m. with the full slate of the day's action listed here. Both sets of racing will be live-streamed on ESPN+ with the Prelims available here and the Finals here.Â

The winner of Friday's Championship moves on to row in the NCAA Championship, May 26-28, in Cherry Hill, NJ.Â
