Mitchell Earns Indoor Track All-Rookie Honor

First-year posted best time in the mile in indoor season
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - GW women's indoor track & field first-year Sarah Mitchell was named to the A-10 All-Rookie team, it was announced on Wednesday.
Mitchell was the fastest rookie finisher in the mile during the course of the indoor season, with a top time of 4:52.67 at the BU Valentine Invite in February. Later in the campaign, she finished fourth in the A-10 Championships to earn team points for the Buff & Blue.
The Birmingham, United Kingdom native had a successful A-10 Championship overall, running a leg of the distance medley relay that placed third in the competition and set a school record with a time of 11:46.17.
