Bohlke Earns Gold on Day Two of Outdoor Championships

Fairfax, Va. - Michael Bohlke earned a gold medal in the final round of the men's 1500m race at Sunday's A-10 Championship meet, headlining the finishes for the GW Revs. Bohlke earned the top slot in the field of 12 in 3:48.82, his season-best time.

On the women's side, Hadley Mahoney finished in 4:41.07 in the final round, 11th overall. Nic Rodgers finished fourth overall in the men's 800m finals, completing the event in 1:52.99. In the sprints, Dami Oyatayo finished fifth in the 400m dash in just 55.86, just shy of her program record set in yesterday's race.  
 
The women's 4x100 relay team of Madison Hardamon, Janae Russell, Kamryn Holness and Olivia Clark went on to edge out their own program record, finishing in 47.20 to win their heat and finish sixth overall. The women's 4x400 relay team of Rylan Priest, Hardamon, Clark and Oyatayo also earned a new program record to finish sixth overall in 3:49.03. The women's 4x800 team rounded out the relays for GW, finishing in 9:37.44.

Also running distance events for the Buff & Blue, Claire Bohan (17:50.78, 20th overall) and Emma Friedrich (18:41.49, 32nd overall) both made a showing in the women's 5k, and for the men, Austin Brotemarkle (14:54.20, 21st overall) and Wesley Kaukas-Quinn (15:50.41, 34th overall) both competed. 

Racing in the 10k were Olivia Syftestad (37:57.10, 17th overall) and Ashley Robinson (39:02.23, 21st overall) who were both tested in the women's field. 

The NCAA postseason will begin May 20-25, beginning with the East Regionals held this year in Jacksonville, Fla. Information on which GW runners will advance to the event will be announced at a later date. Follow GWsports.com for all information as it becomes available.
