Women’s Tennis Welcomes Rhode Island on Saturday

WASHINGTON – GW women's tennis will host Rhode Island for a 1 p.m. start at the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center on Saturday.
LAST TIME OUT
GW topped Duquesne last Friday, 4-3, to improve to 2-2 in conference play. Gabriela Giraldo clinched the match at the No. 2 singles flight with a 6-1, 7-6 win over the Dukes' Natasha Novak. Stella Wiesemann, Sarah Bodewes and Charlotte Bell also won in singles play to help set the final score.
SCOUTING RHODE ISLAND
The Rams are 5-10 overall and 1-0 in Atlantic 10 play after topping Davidson, 4-1. Sophie Herrman leads the Rams with 12 singles wins, while she and doubles partner Valentine Cvackova lead Rhode Island with 10 wins in doubles play.
